Presentation Academic composing covers the wide scope of explicit composing assignments that you are required to compose over the span of your scholastic examinations: papers, reports, writing surveys, ventures, contextual investigations, expositions, postulations, research papers, and articles. Some of these content kinds are very uncommon outside the scholarly condition (papers, writing audits, papers, theories); others (reports, ventures, and so on ) likely could be focusing on an a lot more extensive open. In any case, what they all share practically speaking is a comparable kind of peruser: an individual taught in the master field (here financial aspects or business examines), and normally going about as an expert in that field. These objective perusers speak to the expert network of which you expect to turn into a part. To be acknowledged as part expects you to satisfy the standards and guidelines that the expert network anticipates. Along these lines as to composing, you are required to stick to the standards expected by the (universal) scholarly network. Contrast this with a hand off race in games. In the multi stage sprint, you run with three different sprinters. On the off chance that you are one of the two center sprinters, you eve to gather the mallet easily from the past sprinter and give it to the following sprinter. In the multi stage sprint your group runs against different groups (your neighborhood network). Every one of you need to run by the arrangement of rules concurred by the games overseeing body (the expert network). On the off chance that you don't, your group might be excluded. The standards set the system for a possibly incredible race, and inside the principles there is huge degree for singular style and ability. So with scholastic composition: you need to compose as indicated by the principles yet to compose well requests your own India, Vidal ability and undertaking. Similarly as an exceptionally gifted competitor realizes how to utilize the guidelines for his potential benefit, so a specialist essayist utilizes the standards and principles of expert scholarly composition to convince perusers of the intensity of his contention. We ought not expand this games similarity excessively far: sports have away from of decides that everybody can peruse and examine; scholarly composing does not. What an expert scholastic field has is a lot of plain standards, for example, a style manage. This guide depends on the article style necessities portrayed in the 6th version of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association 2010). Nearby these is a lot o f secret standards that are similarly as ground-breaking. Instances of the secretive standards will be the idea of argumentation that is viewed as satisfactory in the field. Clandestine standards are covered up and in this way set aside a long effort to gain. Most beginner authors get them through broad perusing in the field, and by giving dynamic consideration to the manner in which different scholars utilize 4 language. This procedure of procurement requests close perception of how master journalists use words and articulations distinctively in various kinds of text, e. G. Writing surveys or contextual investigations in a solitary field (e. . Advertising). Scholarly papers (and most different types of scholastic composition) are normally descriptive or pugnacious. A descriptive or instructive paper depicts or clarifies a specific arrangement of marvels, and gives a record of why these wonders are found in at least one explicit circumstances or settings. The objective of the interpretive paper is likewise to familiarize the peruser with an assemblage of knowledge. An factious or influential paper must pick a side, put forth a defense for it, consider and invalidate elective contentions, and demonstrate to the uncertain peruser that the sentiment it presents is the best one. You should know about different sides and be reasonable for them; excusing them totally will debilitate your own contention. It is in every case best to agree with a particular position that you have faith in, ideally with the most supporting proof. To build up a decent scholastic paper you ought to experience various stages, called the composing process. The following seven phases can be recognized: The creative cycle 1 Thinking stage 2. Exploration stage 3. Blueprint stage 4. Drafting stage 5. Changing stage 6. Altering stage 7. Last form stage Planning process Transfer in a first draft yield Revising altering F-IANAL yield Figure 1. Phases of the creative cycle 1 . Framework stage In this stage you draft a diagram of the paper you mean to compose, setting out your fundamental point or reason in the paper (the reason articulation or proposal proclamation), sketch how you will build up the mints that follow from the reason, and show how you will finish up the paper. 4. Altering stage Here you alter your content on a small scale level, checking the syntax, spelling, accentuation, in-text references, references and the format. 7. Last form stage In this stage you set out the last paper flawlessly and plainly. Composing a paper is recursive: you don't begin toward the start, and work through directly to the end, and that is that.At all occasions you will backtrack or circling that as you are , composing your first draft, you may find you have to add more data and need to come back to the exploration stage. President Franklin D. Roosevelt s The Conscience Of A...

Allie Bast Mr. Nichols APUSH 17 March 2015 President Franklin D. Roosevelt created a series of domestic programs, between 1933-1938, as a means of combating the effects of the Great Depression. Both presidential executive orders and laws passed by Congress created programs that provided relief for the unemployed and the poor. Democrats, supporters of this New Deal, were considered â€Å"liberal† while opponents who viewed the New Deal as an enemy of business and economic growth were deemed â€Å"conservative.† The purpose of New Deal liberalism and the programs of the Great Society were to boost the nation’s economy and help Americans get on the road to recovery. As these programs have grown, and the federal government has enlarged its scope and involvement in lives of the everyday citizens, some fear that American’s freedoms are being infringed upon. Barry Goldwater, in his book The Conscience of a Conservative, presents the conflict between the ideas of liberalism and conservatis m that have emerged in the 20th century. He argues that liberalism has taken man’s freedom away and man has become â€Å"enslaved politically†, and therefore dependent on the government (11). Because of this, Goldwater disagrees with much of New Deal and Great Society legislation which expanded the government’s power over the people. Social Ethical Aaccounting and Auditing

Question: Discuss about the Social Ethical Aaccounting and Auditing. Answer: Introduction In 21st century, ethics is no more an option or luxury; but has become one of the inevitable features in an organization. According to Bird et al. (2013), every organizational business should have legal or moral responsibility and should keep ethics as a primary priority. The organizations need to have ethics, rules, regulations and principles in their operations as it elevates their social status and reputation. The IT professionals and other related organizations should embrace ethics in their business culture. As suggested by Bredin et al. (2015), adoption of value based culture within organizations help in influencing the society positively. Ethics within organization not only leverage the cultural and social values; but also tends to maintain relationship among internal and external stakeholders. It plays an important role in governing an individuals or organizations activities as well as its decisions. This research report will be discussing certain ethical issues of the stakeholders along with several reasons behind resolving IBM-GSAs issues in an ethical way rather than legally. Moreover, this report also focuses on ethical obligations that stakeholders should have towards the general population as well as towards them. The guidance of ACS (Australian Computer Society) based on code of ethics is discussed pertaining to the case of IBM-GSA. Ethical Issues of Stakeholders As opined by Costa and Menichini (2013), stakeholders are the individuals those are directly and indirectly linked with the organizational operations. The success of business lies solely on the satisfaction level and involvement of stakeholders. The business stakeholders should maintain an ethical and friendly relationship with one another apart from profit making and increasing productivity. The shareholders or stockholders should behave ethically in engaging their capital in an effective and efficient way. They should be careful of not exploiting the resources of the organizations that may severely hurt the reputation of companies. Dawkins (2014) commented that managers of the organizations should have to be ethical in their approach. They should make the maximum and positive utilization of organizations resources for increasing productivity and performance; thereby maintaining organizational reputation. The managers also have an access to many of the key resources of the organizat ional operation; hence they should not disclose any of the organizational secrets to others. There are many organizations that make its employees sign NDSs (Non Disclosure Agreements) as one of their employment clauses. It, therefore, restricts employees from sharing information with their future employers. Moreover, Leavitt et al. (2015) also mentioned that employees should act ethically as they are the structural pillars of an organization. At the same time, organizations also should treat their employees well by giving them timely payments, incentives and appraisals based on their working capability, productivity and skills. Moreover, organizations should also embrace occupational laws and workplace safety laws for treating employees ethically and fairly. Along with this, Henriques and Richardson (2013) also commented that suppliers and distributors also should be paid fairly and in-time for their services to the organizations. Similarly, the suppliers also should be ethical in their approach through providing premium quality products at the agreed upon prices. Customers should be ethically treated and should be provided equal value for the amount they are spending for the products and services. It, therefore, helps in improving effectiveness as well as efficiency of the organization along with attract new and potential customers. In 1999, IBM-GSA was one of the IT outsourcing groups that handled Health Insurance of the aged and other health related people. At the time of tender presentation, the company was asked to revise its final pricing. After that, the minister announced IMB-GSA to be the proud winner of the health tender. But, after 3 years the minister declared that the tender of IMB-GSA that cost around $350 million was cancelled (Kerzner, 2013). As per the minster, it was canceled due to Probity Auditors limited role in that tender as well as missing out of a separate issue. But, OASITO (Office of Asset Sales and Information Technology Outsourcing) said that the Probity Auditor was a part of the discussion and hence he was happy to deliver the messages for due course of action. This illegal activity from the Governance towards the organization was unacceptable (Foucault, 2013). Reasons behind resolving issues of IBM-GSA via ethical aspects rather than legal aspects There are certain cases where issues need to be solved via ethical aspects rather than legal aspects. According to Weiss (2014), sometimes several situations arise at the workplace where the reputation of the organization is at stake. So, it is better to deal those situations in a planned and ethical way, rather than adopting legal ways that may harm the companys reputation. One of the reasons behind adopting resolving issues in legal way is due to respecting autonomy. The stakeholders initially should take measures in solving the problem associated with the organization. It will definitely help in improving self-determination as well as self-reliance of the organization. Moreover, Williamson et al. (2012) also mentioned that another reason behind solving ethically is to have a conversation with the guilty stakeholders regarding their step towards adoption of unethical means within the organization. It is necessary to treat all the stakeholders fairly and equitable irrespective of an y position they hold in an organization. If the stakeholders are found guilty, they should have the moral of carrying out their own responsibility rather than pointing on others. Moreover, Taebi et al. (2014) commented that another reason of opting ethical way of solving problem is due to interpersonal relationship with the stakeholders. So, the other stakeholders for maintaining the relationship without hampering tends to solve problems with discussion. It will help in keeping the organizational secrets within the organization without destroying the brand image and reputation of the organization. In this kind of dilemma, it is necessary to maintain secrets and takes actions ethically so that it doesnt affect the external stakeholders. Snape et al. (2014) stated that another reason behind solving problems ethically is gathering appropriate information and data related to this case. Without having proper evidences in-hand, one cannot question stakeholders honesty, integrity and moral values. So, before accusing any of the stakeholders, evidence and proof should be present. In case of IBM-GSA, the case of cancellation of tender came forward after the minister h ad left the position. So, to maintain the integrity and reliability of the Government, this case has been handled ethically rather than taking legal actions. Ethical obligations stakeholders should have towards one another and general population Zadek et al. (2013) stated that stakeholders of an organization should have ethical obligations towards society, general civilians and for one another. The obligations help in long term and sustainable growth and development of the organization. Moreover, it also contributes in developing and maintaining a healthy relationship with other stakeholders, civilians and society. The mangers being one of the important stakeholders aim towards bringing into self-confidence, behavioral as well as personality traits within the employees. So, if the managers are unethical in their approach, then it is obvious that their followers will do the same. It will, therefore result in hampering of organizational image as well as status. As stated by Prez and Del Bosque (2013), every stakeholder is bound to follow organizations rules, regulations and objectives. Moreover, each f the stakeholders are well-connected with one another. So, any kind of unethical conduct may impact on the other stakeholders a dversely. The entire chain f business operation will be disrupted affecting on organizational productivity, social position and revenue collection. According to Costa and Menichini (2013), as per ethical obligations, the stakeholders must work together for fulfilling their professional goals rather than personal goals. If any of the stakeholders is working to fulfill their personal goals, it may create conflict among stakeholders. Each of the stakeholders tends to emphasis on fulfilling their personal objectives and hence it will totally destroy and ruin the organization both monetarily as well as image value. Bredin et al. (2015) commented that the stakeholders should have ethical considerations towards other organizations where child labor is still practiced. They tend to boycott such organizations as it may impact negatively on the organizational reputations. Moreover, to operate ethically, certain CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activities have been included within the organization. The contribution of the stakeholders towards social responsibility therefore, sets an example to the other organizations and stakeholders to operate ethically. Guidance of Australian Computer Societys (ACS) Code of Ethics to IBM-GSA According to Levenseller et al. (2014), the members of ACS should hold dignity, honor and effectiveness in their professionalism and approach. It aims towards making its members ethical in their approach, a good citizen and conduct their activities adhering to rules and principles. The codes of Conduct those laid down by ACS states that organizations should be focus primarily on public interest, should enhance the quality of life and should embrace competence, honesty, competence, professional development and professionalism. These principles are strictly applicable to all the ACS members irrespective of their role and expertise in the ICT (Information and Communications Technology) industry. Pahl-Wostl et al. (2013) stated that ACS makes sure to encourage positive business activities and discourage all sorts of negativity from the organizations. Even more, in cases of ethical dilemmas, ACS plays an important role in solving it. It expects its members to respect peoples privacy and a lso refrain themselves from unfair treatment of employees. As opined by Nijboer et al. (2013), while adhering to public interest, the organization should primarily identify the areas those largely impacts the business operation along with their interests. It should also look into any conflicts that arise between is members personal and professional interest and hence take effective steps in eradicating it. It also aims towards respecting intellectual property as well as endeavor in preserving privacy as well as confidentiality of the information. Molster et al. (2013) commented that while enhancing the quality of life, ACS aims towards protecting and promoting safety and health issues at workplace. It also attempts to increase the level of personal satisfaction and pleasure in working ethically. Along with this, ACS also involves in interrogating the affected areas and find possible solutions to it. Moreover, it aims towards its members of not-breaching the public trust or any of the stakeholders trust in business. The members are bound to r eject any offers of bribery and should work on enhancing their reputation at their expense rather than taking credit from others (Shafer, 2015). Prez and Del Bosque (2013) opined that competence is anther platform the ACS members should adopt for accepting the responsibility of their conduct. It also says that it shouldnt misinterpret their skills and knowledge. Rather, they should take care of the products and services for matching it with the stakeholders needs. The members should be abided by professional development and professionalism. It, therefore, helps the members in encouraging their colleagues and employees to work better. Moreover, it also takes appropriate actions against people those are engaged in illegal and unethical activities within and outside the organization (Shapiro and Stefkovich, 2016). Conclusion This report highlights the immoral case of IBM-GSA where its tender was cancelled by the minister unethically. Though the organization adopted NDA signing of its employees, still due to unethical approach of a group of individuals or individual, the entire tender was cancelled. He legal documents that showed the companys final pricing for the health insurance was leaked to its competitors. It may involve governance and other stakeholders involvement behind this cancellation. The report also extended its discussion towards explaining reasons regarding adopting ethical aspects rather than legal aspects to solve this problem. It was seen that due to prevent loss of faith of common civilians on faith on government. It may also highlight name of certain organizational stakeholders that will ultimately reduce the reputation of the organization. The ACS also involved in providing several codes of ethics and conducts that the stakeholders of different organizations should be abided with. Mor eover, this report also explains the ethical obligations that stakeholders should have for one another is also discussed n this context. 6 Bad Excuses for Committing Plagiarism

6 Bad Excuses for Committing Plagiarism Plagiarism is a serious offense that can cause permanent damage to a student’s academic career. Few students realize the seriousness of this crime – and crime is exactly what plagiarism amounts to. It is an act of theft. Because many students fail to understand the potential consequences of committing plagiarism, they don’t necessarily take the time to understand what types of behavior constitute plagiarism. This gets too many students into trouble – and that trouble can be anything from embarrassment to heartbreak. In college, plagiarism is taken very seriously. Many colleges will expel students on the very first event. While students are given the opportunity to have their case or situation reviewed by a panel or a student court, they should understand that excuses just do not work. The most common excuse that school officials hear appears as number one on the list: 1. I didn’t know it was wrong.   Your first job as a student is to know what behavior is considered plagiarism. You should stay far away from these common types of plagiarism: Submitting the work of another. If you ever turn in a paper that was written by someone else, especially if you pay money for it, then you are guilty of plagiarism and you are risking your future. It is plagiarism to claim the work of another or even the ideas of another.  While most students in middle and high school don’t have to worry about stealing ideas when it comes to a paper or a science project, students in college do run the risk of plagiarism charges when they write a paper based on another person’s thesis. Submitting a paper you’ve written for another class. Yes, you can get into trouble if you use your own original work for two different assignments. There is a difference between submitting the same paper twice and building upon your own research and adding to an old paper. Check with your instructor or advisor if you have any questions or doubts about this. Copying too much text and using it as a block quote. Let’s face it. Sometimes stude nts try to pull the wool over their instructors’ eyes. Instructors are not dummies, and they see this one all the time. They don’t fall for it.  There is a limit to the amount of text you should put into a block quote. Rewording a source or several sources. Sometimes student will submit a research paper with correct citations, but the paper is really a reworded version of one source or several sources pieced together.   The paper you write should contain your own original ideas, theories, and conclusions.   You must draw conclusions from the evidence you find in other work. While â€Å"I didn’t know it was wrong† is the most common excuse, there are others that instructors hear often. Be warned that excuses don’t get you off the hook! 2. I didn’t mean to. Everyone knows that it is tedious work, putting in all those precise citations. One common problem that instructors see is the omission of a citation. If you use a quote from a source and you don’t indicate that it’s a quote and cite your source, you have committed a theft! Be very careful to proofread and make sure you’ve indicated every quote with quotation marks and cited the source. 3. I didn’t know how to do the assignment. Sometimes students receive unique assignments that are so different from previous tasks that they just don’t know how the completed task should look. It’s perfectly fine to look up examples when you are expected to do something new like write an annotated bibliography or create a poster presentation. But sometimes, students who procrastinate can wait too long to look up these examples, and they realize that they have waited too long to complete the work. When that happens, they may be tempted to borrow from those examples. The solution? Don’t procrastinate! That also leads to trouble. 4. I was just helping a friend. You know perfectly well that you’re guilty of plagiarism if you use work that wasn’t written by you. But did you realize that you are also guilty if you write a piece for another student to use? You are both guilty! It’s still plagiarism, on both sides of this coin. 5. It was my first time. Really? That might have worked when you were five, but it won’t work on instructors when it comes to stealing.   Many students are expelled after the first time committing plagiarism. 6. I was in a rush. Politicians and journalists who have quick deadlines for speeches and reports have tried this one, and it is unfortunate that such high-profile personalities have to be such awful role models. Again, this excuse for stealing the work of another is not going to get you anywhere. You are not likely to gain sympathy because you didn’t give yourself enough time to finish an assignment! Learn to use a color-coded calendar to you have plenty of warning time when an assignment is due.

Market analysis of Jollibee Fast Food Restaurant Essay

Market analysis of Jollibee Fast Food Restaurant - Essay Example The company â€Å"Jollibee† was introduced in the year 1975 by five Chinese Filipino brothers known as the Tan Caktiong family. Initially, they opened a two branch ice-cream parlour (Thompson and Martin, 2005) which later developed into a fast food restaurant offering unique Filipino cuisine. Soon, the company emerged to be one of the most successful business food chains in Philippines. In 1981, Jollibee had established 11 stores in Manila whereas McDonald’s had just opened one store (Hill and Jain, 2011). By 2003, it had opened 467 stores in Manila and had earned a market share of more than 50% and revenue of $500 millions. It had surpassed the revenues of McDonalds in 2003 (Hill and Jain, 2011). The key strategies followed by Jollibee Company were as follows: ïÆ'Ëœ It offered American fast food but kept the Filipino cuisine in mind. For example, it served Asian style hamburgers and the pastas tasted like ‘Chinese Chowmein’. Desserts offered were of unique flavours like Peach Mango Pie and Banana Langka. They kept the local consumers’ taste and preference in mind (Thompson and Martin, 2005) ïÆ'Ëœ They studied the operation system and marketing strategies devised by McDonald’s very closely. Jollibee offered the same range of products but with a difference in taste, so that it would set them apart from its competitor (Hill and Jain, 2011). ïÆ'Ëœ Prices of food products were kept lower than that of McDonald’s (Hill and Jain, 2011).... It has received the ‘Best Employer’ award in Philippines from Hewitt (Jollibee, 2013a). Assessing Corporate Culture Essay Example for Free

Assessing Corporate Culture Essay 1. Scheins approach to assessing organizational culture a. Strengths of scheins approach to assessing organizational culture Schein defines and describes culture as any one of many elements of organizational culture. The culture of an organization can be viewed and treated like other structures within an organization. Certain organizations such as by-laws, committees, and chain of command flow charts, may serve to answer basic questions such as â€Å"how do we interact with the external environment?† and â€Å"how do we order ourselves internally?† As an organization responds to these questions, the responses become core assumptions. These core assumptions become the frames through which the organization interprets the world round it. In place of questionnaire or instrument that utilizes typologies, Schein prefers clinical research model of assessing organizational culture. In this model of organizational culture investigation, the researcher gets much more directly involved within the organization by acting as participant observer or ethnographer. He suggests that members of the organization will more openly respond to the researcher and the investigation because the members of the organization think they have something to gain by collaborating with the researcher. Schein believes that valid data on the culture of the organization will only be collected when the researcher is perceived as the consultant who is seeking to help the organization and has the best interest of the organization in mind. Schein admits that the clinical model of evaluating organizational culture assumes that the researcher intervenes in the culture of the organization. If the organization perceives that the researcher is helping to make changes that will benefit the organization, then the research will accurately yield the cultural dynamics of the organization. b. Weaknesses of Schein approach to assessing organizational culture The results gained from qualitative result are limited to specific cases under investigation. Direct comparison cannot be made between the results from other studies unless the research is specifically designed in that manner. Furthermore, results cannot be generalized to other settings and links to organization’s performance are rarely explored. One significant weakness to Schein’s approach (qualitative method) is the time needed for data collection and analysis which makes the research more costly and time consuming 2. Cameron and Quinn approach a. Strengths of Cameron and Quinn approach to assessing organizational culture Cameron and Quinn provide an evaluation tool called the organizational culture assessment inventory (OCAL). The OCAI is a survey instrument established on a theoretical model called the competing value framework. This framework is valuable for organizing and interpreting various phenomena within an organization. The competing values framework refers to whether an organization strives for flexibility and individuality or stability and control, whether or not an organization is focused externally or internally. The purpose of the OCAI is to discern the relative strengths of these culture types within a given organization. Used over time, the OCAI can measure culture changes within the organization. Cameron and Quinn observe many cases in the business world where culture change is the key to increasing organizational effectiveness. The four major culture types proposed by Cameron and Quinn embody these competing values: clan-internal/control; adhocracy-external/flexible; market-external/control; hierarchy-internal/control. In fact pure control (hierarchy), compete (market), collaborate (clan), or create (adhocracy) are extremely rare. Most of the company cultures that have been diagnosed using Cameron and Quinn’s organization culture instrument indeed have a strong secondary component. Cameron and Quinn identify the cultural and organizational competencies that give rise to value creation. It explains how cultural and leadership competencies can be profiled which, in turn, can lead to a diagnosis of culture gaps, cultural congruency and cultural strength. 3. London first united church Cameron and Quinn’s model is appropriate for this church. This approach is built around clan, adhocracy, market and hierarchy. These four maps themes were also used in the analysis of how organizational culture of London first united Methodist church chances with structural inventions. The church is both an organization and an organism. As such, the church has a lifecycle development built into it: birth, growth, reproduction, decline, and death. The church itself historically has through several changes. Change as renewal is a major aspect of the Methodist movement. Much of the rise and fall of the Methodism can be traced to how the church was willing, or not, to change. Oftentimes, organizations experience growth and/or renewal because of structural changes within the organization. The four maps themes therefore fit this church.

Comparing the Play versus the Film of William Shakespeares Much Ado Ab

Comparing the Play versus the Film of William Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing ?Much Ado About Nothing'' is a postwar love story. Its principal subject is that of romance that may settle over the land after soldiers come home. I noticed that Much Ado is actually two love stories. One concerns sweetly innocent lovers who are driven apart by the plotting of enemies. The other involves very sarcastic lovers who are swept into each other's arms by the benign machinations of friends. I had a lot of trouble understanding the dialect, I grew up a country boy and we didn?t do much of this in my 14 persons graduating class. None the less I didn?t think it was a waste of time either. It was of very good quality as far as a plot is concerned. It had evil, jealousy, lust, love, romance, comedy and of course tragedy. If I were to do it over again I would go see the movie first, the play second. I was able to understand more from the movie than I did the play. I think that if I had done this I might have got more from the play. As the good prince of Arragon, Denzel Washington did a superb job, and as Claudio, the love-struck innocent, Robert Sean Leonard performed great just as he has done in any other theatrical movies that I have seen him in. But in the lesser role of the prince's evil half brother, Keanu Reeves didn?t appear to be all that special, at times he did look evil but I have never been a big fan of Keanu?s acting. He always sounds like a baboon when he opens his mouth. Maybe I am just remembering too much of Bill and Ted?s Excellent adventure? Beatrice and Bene*censored* are adversaries united only in their contempt for marriage. Once the two finally let down their guard and allow their true feelings to blossom... ...and several more keeps you and your emotions on a roller coaster ride. Which is brilliant because we all know that as humans we adhere to stimulation and that is what it does, it stimulates us by incorporating all these emotions and jumping around with them. With the movie it also adds a score and soundtrack as well as camera shots and things that appeals to our senses that much more. At least it does for me. Branagh's interpretation of Shakespeare's play leaves the viewer with the impression of a fairy tale in which everyone (except the villain) will live happily ever after. The film is good, but even as I am partial to the movie I do believe to properly appreciate Shakespeare's work it is necessary to take the time to peruse the play in a leisurely and contemplative manner, and if anything to get the WHOLE play in which the movie did not give.

BCR Importance of nitrogen Essay

1. Probably they include negatives and, if possible, positive controls. Is your negative control a test plant that is planted in a pot with no legume planted in the pot? Do you have any other negative controls? How about positive controls? Are there some plants which you know will grow well under the conditions that you are specifying? Are you using these as positive controls, while your test plants will be a different type of plant? 2. I suspect they also include a method of checking, periodically, for results â€Å"over time,† meaning either daily, weekly, monthly †¦. 3. Wouldn’t you want all of your test â€Å"subjects† exposed to the same environmental conditions, with the exception of the one element for which you are testing. That means that all get the same amount of light, water and soil and that the light, water and soil are from the same source. So, you will need a way of measuring the amount of light, water and soil. If you are planting in containers, wouldn’t you want all of the containers made of the same substance, instead of having some be of plastic and some of wood? Wouldn’t you want them to all be the same height, width and depth? Wouldn’t you want them all oriented with respect to the sun such that none blocked sunlight from the others? Wouldn’t you want to weed them all frequently and regularly to insure that the presence of weeds did not adversely effect one or the other of your test subjects? I suspect that your instructor wants you to say in your experimental proposal write up how you will orient the containers and what they will be made of and what are their dimensions and how often you will check for weeds and measure light water and soil†¦ 4. Won’t you need to decide what constitutes a positive result and what constitutes a negative result. 5. Probably your instructor wants you to choose an objective measure for your results and state what that will be. For example: If you are growing other plants along with the legumes, will you measure the growth of their stems with a ruler? If they are branched, will you only measure the total height, or will you measure all of the branches separately? If they have fruit, will you weight the fruit? If you weigh it, how will you decide that it is time to pick and weigh it? At the end of the experiment, will you remove the whole plant, roots and all and weigh it? 6. Will you plant the legumes at the same time that you plant the test plant? or will you plant the test plant on day 5, 6, 10†¦ after the legumes have been planted? Will you plant only one legume to each box? If you have them growing at the same time, how will you orient your plants so that neither the legume nor the test plant will overshadow the other but that the roots of the legume are close enough to effect the soil for the test plant? Or, if you don’t think that will work, will you plant the legumes and let them grow and die before you plant your test plant? 7. How will you record what you have done? Will you make a spreadsheet and record that, for example, you have gave all the plants a cup of water per day or a quart of water twice a week? Where will you note the growth of the plant? how many weeds you pulled? Will you note the conditions of the leaves of your test plant or the conditions of the legume plants? Where will you note any unforeseen changes? 8. How will you write up your results? Most scientific papers have 5 sections. Does your instructor wish for you to include this in your proposal? 1) Introduction, 2) Materials and Methods 3) Results, 4) Conclusions and Discussion, 5) References

Death Of A Salesman By Arthur Miller - 1285 Words

What is the American Dream? How does one define success? Many people hold different views on how to obtain true happiness. One common view is the accomplishment of something yearned. A majority of individuals desire love, compassion, and a family. On the other hand, there are those concerned with self-image, material items, and the fact that money can indeed buy true happiness. Figures of imports were rising disproportionately to export figures. Rate of unemployment among the locals was rising The tenure of MNCs in the country was decreasing gradually. As a strategist you are required to discuss: 1. Measures you would put in place to address each of the above four issues. (154= 60 Marks 2000 words) 2. Critically compare and contrast any MNC organization and corporate parent organization in your country based on their structure and strategy adopted by each of them. (40 marks 1000 words) ***************** Good Luck ********************* The world is getting smaller due to the globalization and the tremendous advancements in communications. Multinational companies took advantage of the globalization and politics to expand its market by trying new countries with new experiences instead of selling their goods and services from/to their original country . Dealing with their foreign customers with their different needs and requirements according to the environment and the way of living by also being involved in the market directly and facing the same conditions that their customer is having. Due to the high competition in the market with the MNCs many small enterprises are closing down while their availability is essential and an supports the stability of the economy and also it improves the competition in the market where it will use the local internal resources and supporting services of the country that will help in keeping the money flow within the country and in return will benefit the economy, keeping in mind that most of the multination corporations started as local business , thus the government should support the small business owners by offering them capital supports to be paid in the long run with low or no profits, enhance the infrastructure and the human needs to be available and accessible , safe working environment where they can know what are their responsibilities and rights and not just been as assumptions and vague ,to be controlled by the government for any illegal act or cheating, to be supported by the big companies with their experiences and knowledge, higher the quality of the work or service by educating them with experts from the government and by periodic visits to assure all the requirements needed for the specific domain are available , hire qualified and experienced employees not to be only looking for the lower rate employee The country became more as consumer than a producer thus the imports are rising and the exports are being lower, which is a red alert that the funds of the country will be transferred outside , so the need to control what are the accepted imports and what can be produced internally has the priority to be consumed, Trade protectionism is an aim to protect the countrys economy or a weak sector from low quality or/and better quality imports than the locally produced and also when the government feels that the industries are being threatened by unfair competition from the foreign industries. Doing this will be through adding tariff barriers that will increase the price for the imported goods compared to the local ones, the government supports the locally produced goods to lower the prices, quality regulations, unordinary and time consuming inspections will also help in reducing the imports, open manufactures for assembly or production and attract the experts of the weak domains to invest in the country. these used as a defensive measure and usually is motivated by politics. It can be effective in the short run, but its not recommended for the long run where it usually does a negative impact by doing the opposite intentions by turning the country and the industries it is trying to protect to be less globally competitive. Thus there must be a plan to what and when to protect to create a competition that will increase the quality of the products or services which will affect the quality of the life. All Exports and imports should always comply with islamic Shareea thus restricting importing or producing what is against these roles is fatal and should be treated strictly and control other countries acc ess the technology or resources and delivery specially countries with political problems The unemployment of the locals is raising due to that the foreign companies bring their employees from the mother country to assure the stability of their company specially at the start up period. Usually big companies go to cheaper countries to benefit from the lower rates of the locals and the materials so that and as a step to reduce the unemployment rate, these companies should hire , train and develop the skills of the locals and to be agreed on a percentage of the locals hired keeping in mind that we need to keep the stability and performance of the organization . Also to invite students from schools and universities to attend and get trainings that can be added to their experience before they start looking for jobs and it can be an opportunity to expand their way of thinking and can help in deciding in what major to continue . Additionally the government should attract the investors wh ere the market is in need for the weak sectors and invest in having factories to produce or as an assembly so it can help in reducing the cost of imports and create new vacancies and domains for the locals. Also try to attract visitors and tourists which will also can create different opportunities for the locals Foreign investors are a good opportunity for the countries where they bring their capitals and experiences to invest and increase the flow of money with doing business locally and globally through the country services and also will create new vacancies that will have an impact on the country where the business is located . Therefore attracting those companies to invest is a must to be able to compete internally and globally ,keeping in mind that all investors should be doing a business complied with Shareaa where the islamic culture is the base of the country, so restrictions should apply to businesses which are against the islamic culture. Supporting the investors th rough offering security and capital for low rates with legal support and benefits like citizenship which will help in securing that will keep the business for longer time and invest in the country in other domains. Also that the government should take care of its currency which will help these investors to keep and save their wealth not to lose their money in such changes which might cost them a lot of losses, set rules between the competitors not to be allied against the market for their own profits and to encourage them to use the universities research centers or known places to do their studies and researches so they can benefit from other experiences and not to waste too much time and money in doing the same researches , control the monopoly and big investors from controlling the prices in the market and to help new investors specially in weak domains to compete which will help lower the prices and improve the quality The definition of MNC varies among different dimensions an d each company been called a MNC is with a separate perspective, some are called because that the parent company or the headquarter is in another country, others been called as MNC because the higher managers are two or more different nationalities, etc. FedEx is one of the multinational companies where the parent company is located in USA and has different branches all around the world. FedEx structure is functional and is divided into 5 global regions and in each region consists of countries and each country has its own headquarter each country has its own headquarter dealing with the location separately and including each country there are several companies working under FedEx Integrated applications through companies competing collectively and managed collaboratively under FedEx brandname; FedEx Express, FedEx Ground, FedEx Office, FedEx Freight, FedEx Custom Critical, FedEx Trade Networks, FedEx Supply Chain. FedEx Services, Thinking of these companies as a portfolio o f solutions that Compete collectively and face any challenge in the world of global commerce. Each network operates independently by focusing on the independent networks to meet the customer needs so it can deliver the best service without compromise . That means each individual network can be fine tuned to deliver the best possible service depending on the country and the situation while Managed collaborativelyby working together to sustain the loyallity in the relationship with the investors , workforce and customers Second Question: Reading 14 Students need to Contrast between Two Companies: One is A Corporate Parent and the other is a MNC, the comparison between these two companies would be in terms of their : Structure and Strategies https://www.businessdictionary.com/definition/multinational-corporation-MNC.html https://www2.econ.iastate.edu/classes/econ355/choi/mul.htm https://www.foreignaffairs.com/articles/24533/joseph-s-nye-jr/multinationals-the-game-an d-the-rules-multinational-corporations https://www.mci.gov.sa/en/AboutMinistry/pagemin/Pages/pagemin04.aspx?AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1 https://www.yourarticlelibrary.com/microeconomics/foreign-investment/role-of-multinational-corporations-mncs-in-foreign-investments/38224/ https://constructionlitmag.com/politics/international/the-rise-of-the-multinational-corporation/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_companies_of_Saudi_Arabia https://useconomy.about.com/od/glossary/g/Trade-Protectionism.htm https://www.diva-portal.org/smash/get/diva2:570419/FULLTEXT01.p https://www.businessdictionary.com/definition/protectionism.html#ixzz3YCsgTOYn https://smallbusiness.chron.com/organizational-structure-multinational-company-61542.html https://www.investopedia.com/terms/p/parentcompany.asp https://smallbusiness.chron.com/important-small-businesses-local-economies-5251.html

What Does The Nike Operates - 1193 Words

Kantianism is very interesting as it relates to how Nike operates. â€Å"For example, one of Kant s best-known principles of obligation is â€Å"Never treat another person merely as a means to your own goals,† even if doing so creates a net balance of positive value† (Arnold, Beauchamp Bowie, 2013, p. 7). This definition is the complete opposite to what Nike has done in the past. It seems that the only way for companies to make money hand over fist, people have to suffer of get taken advantage of. A lot of mega-rich companies or organizations use a loophole within the law here in the United States or countries overseas to exploit people for personal gain. It is just morally wrong to be greedy. Some companies would still turn a decent profit if they were not greedy. If Nike would have boosted the pay three more dollars per day, they would have still made huge profits. On the other hand, if Nike would have raised the wages of its workers too much, they would have probably gone out of business by now. How Nike Made Repairs Nike is a giant company with vast resources. Nike utilized a combination of marketing and public relations to resolve its problems. It has unlimited money for advertising and marketing. With enough money behind a company, the public will quickly forget about its wrongdoings. One example of another company that was in a bad ethical situation was Subway. It was found that Subway used the same material found in Yoga mats in their bread. As time went on and advertising continued, people forgot about what happened. Nike agreed to correct some of their discrepancies. Nike agreed to stop using a hazardous material that proved to be very harmful to its workers. Nike also agreed to raise minimum wage in many of the countries in which it operates. Marketing in an Age of Social Mobility †MyAssignmenthelp.com

Question: Discuss about the Marketing in an Age of Social Mobility. Answer: Introduction: Over the past few years, transnational marketing has become an important aspect of every global business. Precisely, it refers to the marketing of a companys goods and services over and beyond its home countrys boundary. It is important to note that such marketing involves taking into consideration the differences between national markets while taking into account the linguistic and cultural differences as well as territories. In this regard, the marketing leadership must possess some skills and competencies to ensure a successful penetration into foreign markets. A transnational marketing leader must develop a critical sense of sensitivity to the cultural diversities that may exist between their home country and that of their target market country (Clawson, 2014). They must possess the understanding that their culture and background are not inherently superior to that of the other country in order to reach out and appeal to the new transnational market (Clawson, 2014). By so doing, the marketing leadership will be able to master the workings of the global culture management. Adopts transformational leadership In order to be successful, a transnational leader must adopt a transformational leadership approach. This entails being able to articulate a compelling vision of the marketing goals and visions of the companys future in the new market (Clawson, 2014). In addition, they must be able to set out clear plans on how to achieve marketing goals in the foreign country. In so doing, the firm will be able to infuse the new market successfully. Marketing leaders on the international scale should be able to think strategically about marketing their products using the best teams. In order to achieve this aspect, the leader must be able to understand how marketing works in the global arena and adopt methods that work towards the attainment of positive results (Roy, 2017). Ordinarily, transactional marketing focuses on single point of sale transactions made by a company. For this reason, the marketing approach emphasizes on maximizing the volume of individual sales instead of the relationship with the buyer (Rouse, n.d.). Some of the main aspects of transactional marketing include the placement and promotion of the product. Mobility has a great contribution to transactional marketing as a factor (Fulgoni, 2013). Specifically, the marketing firm must ensure that the customers can find the product in the market as well as have the urge to purchase it immediately. Mobile media is continuously changing consumer habits and their path to purchase is disrupted by technology (Fulgoni, 2013). Therefore, in this case, the firm may employ modern and mobile forms of marketing to reach out to a greater audience and target market and, thus allowing the firm to make many sales and maximize on the volume of sales of their products (Ruizjr, 2015). In this regard, mobil ity contributes to transactional marketing as a factor. References Clawson, J. (n.d.). 11 Key Characteristics of a Global Business Leader.
